AliroNet Quickstart operates as a configurable production, trial, or testbed environment for building and running use cases and applications, and is designed to work with any type of hardware required at the physical layer.
AliroNet® Quickstart includes quantum and classical network hardware devices combined with comprehensive software for orchestration, control, and data plane operation. AliroNet Quickstart is an entanglement-based quantum network implementation for applications including entanglement-based key distribution, networking of quantum processors, and connectivity for distributed quantum sensors.
AliroNet Quickstart is a modern Entanglement-based Quantum Networking product which does not rely on legacy QKD technologies (i.e., BB84, prepare and measure, or trusted relays) to generate keys. AliroNet Quickstart is able to produce secrets/keys on either end of a connection via entanglement which is safer, more reliable, and can be used to support other applications which require qubit transport (such as networking of quantum computers, connecting quantum sensors, etc.).
AliroNet Quickstart can be packaged as a rack system or as a light table system and is the best solution for organizations to test, pilot, or deploy a modern key exchange system instead of using legacy QKD.
Transitioning towards more secure and efficient entanglement-based networks will be crucial in overcoming the security threats posed by quantum computing in addition to classical threats. AliroNet Quickstart can address these threats by eliminating the sharing of public keys and replacing them with an entanglement-based method of generating shared keys. Organizations are able to combine AliroNet with post-quantum cryptography (PQC) to create a layered, defense-in-depth security solution that enables a robust end-to-end quantum-safe posture for data, voice, and video transmission.
AliroNet Quickstart operates as a configurable production, pilot or testbed environment for building and running use cases and applications, and is compatible with multiple types of hardware required at the physical layer to create and measure the entangled photons.
AliroNet Quick-Start Network Overview
AliroNet Quickstart includes classical and Quantum Network hardware devices combined with comprehensive software for orchestration, control, and data plane operation. The solution is an entanglement-based network implementation and is initially available for fiber optic connectivity for one of two wavelength options with plans to provide the ability for free space upgrade in the future.

AliroNet Quickstart harnesses entanglement to provide a level of network security stronger than anything available today. This security is fundamentally different because it relies on physics rather than math algorithms. Aliro software and hardware solutions are designed to work with existing classical networking hardware to create, manipulate, and measure entangled photons.
AliroNet Quickstart supports entanglement-based key distribution, networking of quantum computers to one another, and connectivity for distributed quantum sensors. AliroNet uses entanglement to transport qubits across free space connections or fiber optic connections.
This solution is ideal for trials, pilots, and research as it is a self-contained solution of devices mounted on a single table which can be located in a wiring closet, data center, lab, or other location. AliroNet Quickstart operates at room temperature and is compatible with classical networks and architectures. AliroNet Quickstart operates as a configurable testbed, environment for building and running use cases and applications, and a rackmount implementation is also available.
The AliroNet Quickstart product is initially available for fiber optic connectivity with a choice of one of two wavelength options and includes:
- Quantum and classical hardware devices necessary to implement a quantum network
- Aliro Orchestrator for quantum network configuration, control, and monitoring of quantum network devices
- AlirOS® operating system running on or adjacent to quantum network hardware devices
